How You'll Help:
We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Technical Implementation Consultant to join our Implementation & Project Management team to provide technical guidance and product expertise during platform implementations and to support the delivery team as needed post-implementation. As a Technical Implementation Consultant, you will be responsible for understanding how our client institutions’ data requirements and business processes impact configuration in our HelioCampus platforms. The ideal candidate has experience in enrollment management, student success, student financial services, and/or financial aid reporting within higher education and possesses strong technical skills, as well as effective communication and relationship management skills.
What You Will Do:
Data Discovery/Validation:
- Facilitate discovery and data validation sessions to understand client business processes and needs, requirements, use cases, and challenges.
- Lead discussions with clients to understand their technical requirements and work with the technical team to propose solutions to meet their needs.
- Translate and communicate client data and process gaps that may require client-specific configuration or development changes to HelioCampus data models.
- Review and investigate data validation discrepancies identified by internal Data Management team and client data validation stakeholders.
- Provide data validation and investigation support to internal team members for clients post implementation (as needed).
Platform Implementation:
- Develop strong technical understanding of HelioCampus data models, configuration workbooks, validation workbooks, and data file specifications to support platform implementations and training of client power users.
- Shadow and learn new product implementations and provide feedback to the product team for improvements and proposed modifications.
- Support Data Management and Product teams on code configuration adjustments and changes.
- Configure and activate certain platform features, including the Data Collection and Workflows feature in the HelioCampus Assessment and Credentialing platform.
Documentation:
- Support implementation handoff documentation by identifying client-specific business rule customizations for our ongoing support teams to reference.
- Provide implementation feedback and documentation for new products post product launch.
Data Advisory:
- Escalate common implementation hurdles to the product team for further enhancement and refinement of our products.
- Provide advice, subject matter expertise, and feedback on data definitions and functional client use cases to inform technical development.
Training:
- Facilitate custom power user training sessions in partnership with our Data Analyst team during implementation go-live.
You Will Be a Good Fit For This Role If You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical consulting or implementation or other related experience working in a technical role
- 3-5 years of experience working within higher education
- Deep understanding of one or more key areas of higher education (e.g. student financials, financial aid, admissions, advancement, student affairs, enrollment management)
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Banner Student, Colleague and/or Workday Student.
- Expertise leveraging Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau to manipulate, analyze, and present data.
- Prior experience conducting and/or supporting quality assurance or user acceptance testing of data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing complex technical implementations.
- Prior experience writing technical and process documentation.

Location:
This specific role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to an office or client site. Preference will be given to candidates located on the East Coast of the United States in order to facilitate both remote and occasional in-person work.
